Re: [Rant!] IS ATT really comming Finally?

I am north of 214 and just south of 410 Hwy an 1/8 mile at the most. I hope this is not an error on Comcast's part.

I had someone tell me to just set up an appointment, after setting if up 2 days later I got a wrong name or address e-mail back from Comcast. I then sent an e-mail to customer service asking if it was available at my house, they sent back saying "Yes" call this number and set up an appointment. I called and they said "No" you don't have the service, but it is on the list for project completion of July 03. But that it could be sooner. I am just going to keep on them every week to find out what kind of answer I will get. I live on the southside of 410 on 214th. Hopefully it will be anyday.

I tried ordering using the method you describe above. I was able to complete the entire order process. I received an email from Comcast a couple of hours later that the service was not available at my address. I'm down by the site for the new high school.

I did not run a check on my address to see if I qualifed because a friend of mine that does have Internet cable form ATT shows when I run a check on Comcast that it is not avalible. I all ready have digatal cable so I logged in under my account and ran the check and it came back avalible. I also ran the check just using the zip code and selecting the related area and it came back avalible. Try it one of the ways I described and see what happens.

I have seen them on both sides of 410. A friend of mine lives on the Lake Tapps side on some property, they were on her property doing the upgrading. So I know that they are working on that side as well. I wouldn't sweat it. I am sure that they are going to cover the whole hillside. The backbone runs along the train tracks in the valley.

That sounds great! I'm a little farther west off of 188th. I wonder how long it will take before it's available.

Do we know how much of the area will be covered? I live on the south side of 410 and it looks like most of the posts are from the north side by Lake Tapps.

I have seen sefnco laying cable on 214th. Today I saw Linear Broadband out, hopefully that means repeaters are going in. Does anyone know how long after the cable is laid that the service is offered?
