Anon		 Ameritech, NO DSL support for DLC/SLIC Customers

What's the deal with Ameritech? I'm trying to get DSL service to a line that is on a "NEW" DLC. These new DLC can support xDSL.

So way doesn't Ameritech support this???

Ameritech is working on it! Actually, SBC's initiative called Project Pronto is going through and replacing outdated "slicks" with new ones that will support DSL services.

Trust me, not only are people like you asking, but the CLECs that want to sell the DSL service in those areas are asking too!

Heard a rumor that the company that is performing these updgrades has canceled all of their workers' vacations/time off and is working 12 hour, 6 day weeks to get it done. Timeframe? who knows.
