ATT BROADBAND DOESN'T CARE ABOUT COSTUMERS

hi, i'll start with a question; does anyone has att b... in 30084? what speed u have there and what’s the result if u ping your ip?
Simply:
Tech. supp.: in a reality, do they eat list know what internet means? How does it work? Differences between software, hardware, Mbit, Kbit, Bit, and connectivity issue.
My connection speed: down 600 – 1100 kb/s max mostly around 850 kb/s and ain’t matter with or without router. btw. I moved within 5 miles, where I’d 3800 – 4500 kb/s. even with the network on my pc
My ping result: 257 TTL – no pocket lost. btw. Where I lived before the result was 25 TTL.
So, this’s my cable now. Att says, “seems fain to them”. However, they can send me a tech. I just have to pay for it, because from their side everything works.
What u guys think?

They bs you. i have a friend with att and he doesnt have a good ping or speed all day 24/7, ur best bet would be to move to dsl.

ATT has never cared about its customers. Their customer no service has got to be one of the worst.

Yep you guys are in the poor ghetto area like me according to ATT anyways. Unless you live in Gwinnett county or Norcross you are considered less important because all of ATT best customers live out there. I am gonna jump ship soon because they just merged with comcast so who knows what kind of mess will be made as a result and one thing is for sure I AIN'T PAYIN FOR IT lol!!! I am sure the first thing to get screwed up is the billing department and we will all get a $500.00 bill or more.

AT&T sucks, but they are still better than Media One was before AT&T bought them out. I had digital cable and broadband through them and it rocked. The speed was awesome (area code 30062) and I was a happy man.

3 months later, my wife calls me at work to tell me the cable guy just showed up and disconnected the cable. I call them and they transfer me to Collections, who tells me that I have not paid my last two bills. I apologize and head home that night to talk to the wife about paying the cable bill. She pulls out cancelled checks ... it was paid!

I call Customer Service and they show I am paid and up to date but the computer also has some flag about collections. I talk to Collections again and they keep insisting I am two months behind. I fax them cancelled checks and they offer to give me a credit. What?!?

So now Customer Service says I have a credit of over $160 while Collections says I am paid in full, *BUT* they want me to pay a reconnection fee to have my service turned back on. I argue and argue that it is *THEIR* mistake and they tell me there is nothing they can do.

I told them I did not want service reconnected and turned my equipment back in that day at lunch. AT&T would have to *REALLY* impress me to get my business since they are the same Media One idiots with a different boss.
