I learned something very interesting yesterday. While on the phone with AT&T Broadband trying to get TechTV back (they moved it to a different "tier" so I have to pay $5 more per month, $47 -> $52, to get TechTV back... DirecTV is starting to look more attractive).
While on the phone with the sales rep, I asked about a discount since I had both video and internet services. The rep told me I was already getting a discount on my cable modem service. He said cable modem service (in my area) is $49.95/mo but if you have cable TV it's only $45.95/mo.
The end result is I'm paying about $55 for TV and $36 for internet. I will give DirecTV serious consideration. |

| DirecTV is awesome. I pay $42/month for 150 channels (including TechTV), my locals on 2 TVs. I think its a pretty good deal. I do have AT&T as my internet service and I have the digital phone service (much cheaper than Qwest).
