| Sacramento Apt Complexes where Winfirst is avail?
Can some of you with Winfirst FTTH service in Sacramento specify the particular apartment complex names and/or addresses where Winfirst service is definitely available. I may be moving to the Sacramento area soon, and I probably won't be able to afford to buy a home initially. I've seen Winfirst's availability map, but since I'm not very familiar with the area (I currently live in chicago), I need to know which apartments to look at when I go out there to visit.
TIA to those of you live out there and can help out! |

| I'm not sure there are any. Winfirst brings their fiber literally to the wall of your house (usually outside the garage where all of your utility 'stuff' is), then runs Cat5 cable to wherever you want them to (office, bedroom, etc.). To wire an apartment complex, they would need to run cable to every unit, which is probably prohibitively expensive in an existing complex. Perhaps if it was a very new apartment complex they would have wired it for Cat5 initially, but I don't know of any. If you want to spend some time searching, look for apartments in the Natomas area. There has been quite a bit of construction here in the last couple of years, and it the first area Winfirst started servicing. Hopefully you'll get lucky; it's worth it!
