[QUOTE=JonIrenicasUsers average 97% of the cap[/QUOTE
More fuzzy math from the shill. 1332 is only 88% of the cap. And so what, 100% of zero is zero. The percentage of who reaches the cap is irrelevant...it's the total average speeds for the money...and in that department ATTBi lags WELL behind their peers.
Seeing as you have a math problem...I'll explain it in a Crayon like fashion for ya. Average Yugo drivers can max out the performance of a Yugo too...doesn't mean that Yugos are bitchen. ATTBi is the Yugo of the cable internet world. Comcast is a '73 Vega wagon (and not a Cosworth).

| reply to Count Hogula$ "Boy does your math suck. Are you telling me that 650kbps isn't 50% of 1300?"
Of cource it is. But 50% isn't 2x more, 2x more would be 100% more.
"I would think that would have been on the ATTBi shill exam before you were hired."
Exhibiting more of your trolling behaviors I see...
"ATTBi is overpriced...and not by a little."
That's your opinion.
"Wow i wish i still had my speed tests from when i had that ultrajoke plan then youd be changing that 97% statement."
It's Actually between 94% and 95%.
"As far as the 1.5/256 plan i do get a 1440/230 results quite frequently. So next time you need to base your 97% off both plans that ATTBI offers cause your obviously doing it to all the other providers your not shilling for."
I don't quite understand this post. For one the 97% was in reference to what the overall speed results are to the normal plan so 1325 Kbps is aprox. 94% of 1400 Kbps. And Cox who offer 3 MBps caps only get 2 MBps of that in overall speed tests results so 2 Mbps is 66% of 3 Mbps. And Adelphia is even worse their percentage is well under %50. It's still faster then ATTBI of cource. But my point is that ATTBI's systems are much more stable, more people reach their cap and if somebody wants 3 MBps they can get it, with Cox and other various Cable Inet providers that is not the case. You could get 1 Mbps, 500 Kbps, 3Mbps, 1.8 Mbps and everywhere in between. You never know. Speeds are all over the place with them but with AT&TB you will almost certainly get 1.4 or 3.0 depending which plan you want. |

Wrong, as of right now it's 1325 and that's right between 94% and 95% of 1400.
"and in that department ATTBi lags WELL behind their peers."
You are correct. But as for reliability those providers lag WELL behind ATTBI.
"I'll explain it in a Crayon like fashion for ya. Average Yugo drivers can max out the performance of a Yugo too...doesn't mean that Yugos are bitchen. ATTBi is the Yugo of the cable internet world."
More like say you are shopping for a car and there is a Corvette that can go 100 MPH but when you test drive it you find it doesn't go 100 very often and is very unreliable and sometimes goes 10 MPH and other times it goes 70 MPH but goes an average of 66 MPH and on the other side of the lot there is a Yugo that can only go 50 MPH but is very reliable and goes 50 MPH all the time and you have a choice to upgrade it now or later and make it go 100 MPH all the time. The Corvettes a little cheaper then the Yugo and both are alot cheaper then the upgraded Yugo.
Now I'd go after the reliable one every time. Obviously you'd gamble and go after the slightly cheaper but unreliable Corvette.. Right? |

I agree ...in my case... with the 1.5/256 plan but the ultrajoke plan i had speed test that showed anywhere from 1100-3200 Down speeds so that was very inconsistent. To tell the truth i am satisfied with my connection from ATT but I dont understand why ATT cant offer something like OOL offers. My 2 bigs issues with ATT is about the "outrageous" ultrajoke plan at "83.99" and the cable modem increase. The ultrajoke plan IMO warrants a 59.99 charge at most. The cable modem increase issue. Ya you can go out and get a 50 dollar surfboard modem but I got the Toshiba and it cost me 110.00. Now if they would of gave a warning 6 months prior to me buying my own modem..... would i still have bought one? NO. Those are my only two gripes as of now and yes the goods are outweighing the bads but the bads are starting to catch up.
Also Id pay 83.99 if i got a 5000/768 connection. i just hope not too many are using the ultrajoke plan cause if they are then we will never see a change. -- Fiber Optics is the future of high-speed internet access. Now imagine that they tried to charge you $100,000 for that Yugo while the Vette costs $50,000. And your analogy isn't even correct. If the Yugo maxes out at 60, the Vette averages 75 and costs less...hmmmmmmm.
Wrong...I would rather be faster all the time than worry about the cap. 50% faster is 50% faster regardless of what the Cox cap is. Unreliable...I don't understand.
Cox is RELIABLY FASTER...and that's what matters. Speed kills, play it safe, get ATTBi. -- The democracy will cease to exist when you take away from those who are willing to work and give to those who would not. -Thomas Jefferson [text was edited by author 2002-09-25 17:33:30] |

That's very strange to score lower then 1.4 when with the 1.4 plan you have reliable speeds. Maybe they were having some network problems while you had the Ultra plan..
"My 2 bigs issues with ATT is about the "outrageous" ultrajoke plan at "83.99"
I agree the Ultraplan should be $60-$70. $80 is a little much.

Don't blame AT&T because you didn't get a good deal.

More people score under 1 Mbps and 500 Kbps with Cox then with ATTBI.
I'll take a reliable 1.4 Mbps thank you very much. |

Yeah...and 4 out of 5 dentists suggest sugarless gum for their patients who chew gum.
Conjecture. Where is your proof? You continuously pull "statistics" out of your ass without a shred of proof.
Mean speeds for Cox HSI are 50% faster than mean speeds from ATTBi and ATTBi ranks near the bottom of the cable provider list for speeds...even including their overpriced Ultrastink service so sayith 9/22 speed test averages on DSLR. -- The democracy will cease to exist when you take away from those who are willing to work and give to those who would not. -Thomas Jefferson [text was edited by author 2002-09-25 17:42:07] |
