| AmphetaDesk / XML and news
I've added an XML icon to the home page, and cleaned up the RSS file, added descriptions to story headlines and #comments, the file is also now available in the more normal location of
/rss.xml
as well as the original location.
If you use »www.disobey.com/amphetadesk/ or another XML based news headline organiser, then hopefully this will be more useful.
If you have NO clue what I am going on about, try out amphetadesk .. or someone elses recommendation on a news display program so you don't have to jump through 15 sites every hour to keep up with things. |

|
justin Australian join:1999-05-28 Brooklyn, NY | it is, yep and will be re-flipped shortly but you can always just enter it manually into your news program.. if you click it on your browser, well, nothing happens because the browser doesnt deal with basic xml clippings. |

| reply to justin Cool! Thanks, Justin.
I was gonna ask you if you could work on more RSS integration one of these days, but it looks like you're already well on the way.
How how about RSS for some of the forums?

Unless you have a 6035, or an I300 than the answer is no. WAP is based on XML, but is different than what is used for the news. -- An expert is a man who has made all the mistakes which can be made, in a narrow field. |

| It's a pretty cool program.. no, not open source and yes only windows and IE (which is the majority of users anyway), but it is free and filled with news sources and nice features. I like it because it has 800 some news sources in a nice hierarchy. I was just listing another program.. not saying it's better. |

| reply to justin Sweet! Thanks for the new feature! I had been hoping BBR would come out with something like this. I just added the news feed link to my own custom application.
Nothing like having every source of information you use right in one screen!
Thanks again! |
