| reply to elboricua I just installed slack this morning, I love it except it wont detect my modem or soundcard (you can convince me of slack's greatness by helping me with that AIM:blinkingspirit20 )
Few extra thoughts, -RH7.1 was nice, stable, but not enough 'guts' for me -what about 'linupy' (yopy)? -isnt sorceror dead? (I read an article on it and I got really interested, but the last paragraph said it was to be discontinued) -- The key to true love is knowing what ports to finger. |

| reply to elboricua Going to try this one on my own before I disturb you guys.
This morning was the first time that I have been able to compile a kernel and was able to boot into the OS successfully. -- The key to true love is knowing what ports to finger. |

C'mon! What do you think this forum is here for? If you ask something dumb like "how do I exit vi" or "how do I install Java", you'll get told to RTFM, but if it's something potentially confusing - like drivers, it's OK to ask . -- Laugh, and the world laughs with you. I use gentoo and smoothwall but smoothwall isn't really a desktop os that you can "use".
No big deal, just an observation. |
