 Post your speed tests here!

If you use a fiber connection, post your speed tests here.

I would prefer these: »www.speakeasy.net/main.php?page=sup_pops , but if you have over a 10Mbps connection, then download a huge enough file to clock your KB/s and post a screen shot of that here.

Cable modem doesn't count.

How does that work? Dont you have a faster connection now, then before?

What did you have before?

No No, I used to get around the full speed of the line when I did not have my ISP and did not have 15 people downloading and uploading things at once. They use up bandwidth, during the day on a weekend I only get around 3.2MB/s... oh well

I don't mind discussing Oxygen's speed test, it's just that no one else has posted theirs and it has turned into a thread about Oxygen's test.

I'd post some results, but my 8Mbytes/sec to dulles, alexandria, charlotte, atlanta, or denver arent exactly "real world" examples.

Max bandwidth 6-24-02 D/L 12.8 MB file. I am on WOW fiber in Denver. That is the highest I have seen. I usually finish a session out with a max of about 14.5Mb d/l and 5.0 Mb u/l.

Most downloads aren't dependent on what other end users have. It's internet server bandwidth that determines the limit of your speed for a single data session. Even then, the added benefit of having fiber is that you can download many files simultaneously and still have room for VOIP, or streaming video. Imagine how many transfers you can have going on in kazaa, winmx, etc. at the same time.

Hmm when i 1st used kazaa i only had it to 3 downloads @ once buti got smart and put it to 15...and i have them all going on @ good speeds. The only reason i dont do more than that is because i dont think i can get more tranfers going before another one ends lol.
