ATM on IRC?

Any interest in an #ATM channel on IRC? Or would this notion further perpetuate a growing unhealthy addiction to DSLR?

Would that be a yes?

I was thinking first of Efnet/Dalnet/Undernet but then I thought if someone had a decent/permanent connection they could install and run an IRC server for some privacy from the 1337 K1D5 on some of the other servers.

Personally, I'm partial to the OpenProjects.net system. When I first started IRC'ing I used EFnet, then Undernet. OPN is now my current fave.

Hmm, wow I had never heard of it before but I checked it out, looks neat.

Me, prwood, and gabeman are currently engaged in an intelligent, insightful conversation on #ATM. *burp*

I have a spare IDSL that is barely being used (just to serve my personal site (no hits hardly) and download WU's from Stanford). I could throw an IRCD on my web server. Wouldn't need that much bandwidth for our forum.

Thanks for the offer PIC, we've got a tentative channel set up now, we'll see how that goes for a little while

Yah, I don't like any of the KDE chat clients. :-\

I just use Gaim's IRC plugin/module. It's not sophisticated, but it certainly does the job. I agree though, not too fond of the chat clients either.
