You can always pop the SIM, call AT&T and read them the serial number on the card to report that you've found it. Assuming the sim is in there.

If you own an iPhone, making a custom wall paper image with a "If Found Call XXX-XXX-XXXX" message on it on it isn't a bad idea.

Then what ? Do you give ATT your info for the owner to contact you ? Take it to the nearest police station or someplace "official" ?

Taking it to the police or similar, I can understand. ATT sending the phone's owner to an unknown person I'll bet is not something they'd facilitate though.
