| Not sure but it does need some video acceleration so that would depend on the driver I guess.
Edit: Bumblebee supports the proprietary nvidia driver so my revised guess would be yes. -- Aesthetics should be an inspiration not a pair of handcuffs |

Yeah the versions before 1.4 were pretty buggy. Hardly ever a problem with the latest version. I'm a N00B to Linux (2012), and as such have been trying anything from current versions of distros, to as far back as some 2010-04 releases.
First, I had to rid myself of the Broadcom WiFi card in my notebook (apparently Linux dinny like those, and yields anywhere from no WiFi thru to lockups if you force the BC driver to activate), and then I could concentrate next on judging GUIs.
KDE seems to have an issue with WiFi where you do not broadcast the SSID (such as mine) - otherwise I was fairly comfortable with it.
This new UNITY on recent Ubuntu has some pros & cons, but the one stumbling block for ME on both Unity and GNOME is that although they both are fine to config for my way of doing WiFi, I cannot relearn (and do not WANT to) which corner to which to move my mouse in a window, if I wish to close it - DEAL-BREAKER ! - I DO hope I named the appropriate GUIs when raising that point, as it's all a bit of a blur yet.
Enter Cinnamon-1.4/Mint-13 and MATE/Mint-13, discovered thru links in a review of Ubuntu by a British-sounding fellow.
I very much DO like both of these GUIs and am ready to give them a serious chance. - They each seem to be friendly, logically organized, and fast, once booted (see below).
One issue which I have noticed is that the 2012-04 releases of Ubuntu, Kubuntu, and Mint all seem to take much longer to load when booting, compared even to the 2011-10 distros.
Has anyone else observed this ? |

I have a bunch of shortcuts and tips and tricks bookmarked. If you need anything specific for Unity PM me your questions and I can give you or look it up quickly.
Most people here would too, if you want to post your question.
