You see there is only one constant. One universal. It is the only real truth. Causality. Action, reaction. Cause and effect.

When they crafted this particular message, why did TSI show a URL »forums.teksavvy.com in bright blue, yet when clicked on it takes you to a completely different site (»oe972.infusionsoft.com/app/linkC···f601f0db) where you have to agree to terms etc?

That's the tactic of the sleazy marketer, and is a form of URL obfuscation. I took a pass because I've never heard of "infusionsoft.com"

That was my reason for posting this, I didn't trust the link either.

Aren't you guys a little worried about heavy moderation, especially with people not saying favorable things about TSI?

Re: [DSL] new Tek forum ?

It's just what they use for email marketing, primarily for gathering metrics on who clicks the link I would guess. Many companies do it. You are free to use the specified address or ignore it.

FWIW; Acanac had a "don't bash us" policy on their own forum, but you really had to go on for a couple of pages for your posts to get moderated. I'd assume you can expect the same from Teksavvy.

In my opinion, company like TSI, who have $ can afford professional software\development of forum for their users\customers\potential customers, etc.

What i see, is far away from that.

Just my opinion.

I can understand them wanting their own forum operating under their 'control' elsewhere after the events of the past 2 weeks here.

However, I think that TSI will ultimately be doing themselves and their customers a disservice by not fully participating here. Too much stuff goes on here which is beneficial to the state of knowledge for Canadian internet consumers for TSI users to not be aware of.

Perhaps had TSI 'donated' the same amount of money to DSLr they are paying to their new forum provider, Justin might have had a better backup scheme in-place (or at least a 3-6U UPS in his rack with software to gracefully shut the server down as power ran low).

i have to awkwardly agree with the comment... Here you can of course be in favor of TSI but still critique some. I'm concerned how that'll play out on their own forums.

DSLR was always going to come back online, i say keep what you've been doing here. Show your support to DSLR TSI. They've provided you a great support platform, don't ditch them now over a DC issue.

Show your customers what loyalty is about. Stay with DSLR and shutdown your own local forums, they're pointless. DSLR is slowly coming back online, stick it out TSI, just as your customers do with you

BTW, what would such a beast cost, anyway ?

And it would need to run from 220VAC rather than 110 ?
