My gut feeling is that this stat (found within Modem's menu),
Loss of Sync Count
is related to how fast you receive and transmit; as is it fine tunes what speed can be handled. I would like to think the fine points of Tx/Rx have been integrated into this equipment via knowledge learned from ViaSat's military equipment.
