| WOW! XPRESS INTERNET I have something called WOW! XPRESS INTERNET, that tests out at about 8.2 M down and 1 up, when I look at WOW's site, they don't even list that product anymore, do I have an obsolete product? |

| WOW now has the following download speeds

They no longer offer the 8. It isn't obsolete, 8 is still a decent connection if you don't need the bandwidth.
All that matters is if you think it is fast enough. If it isn't go higher. If you are fine with it keep it.
However, alot of people said they have been able to get free upgrades from 8 to 15 by calling in. |

Take a look at your bill, and take a look at the prices on the WOW website. Do you think it will cost more or less to change your grandfathered plan? |

I had that same old plan and realized I was paying about $20 a month over the current 15/1 plan. Give them a call as soon as you can. |

I had the 8mb when the new speeds came out. I called, they switched a few things around, and now I pay $2 less a month with a 15mb connection. |

You have to ask for new customer pricing for ultra as well. I had to jump through hoops to get the web advertised price for ultratv. They were not going to give it to me even after I threatened to cancel. Luckily WOW_Dan helped out  |

By their decision, all customers get new customer pricing with Ultra TV, and nothing else at all. No discounts or anything, which I really needed. Had to drop a media player. |

I've felt all along that WOW! should have kept 8/1 and 15/2 instead of 2/1 and 15/1 for their DOCSIS 2 tiers. 2mps down is too slow for todays websites and 1mps up is too slow considering that most other cablecos now have 2mps up for their equivelent tiers. |
