The US should not be taxing corporations at all. Corporate taxes are just passed on to the customers anyway. All corporate taxes do is distort the way investments are made and result in conditions like Apple is doing - leaving the money overseas.

I used to feel that way but after research believe some is necessary to prevent abuse. Large multinationals have become experts at Tax avoidance and paying but a pittance or none at all.

I could see cutting corporate tax, honestly, but there would have to be a trade off--- increasing taxes on dividends and capital gains from said company stock, something that investors are loath to have.

So, I favor a balancing act. Or elimination of Corporate taxes while increasing dividend and capital gains taxes from stock... which in a global economy would appear the best way to go.
