My SmartNet contract has (or is about to) expire(d). The company I bought the AP (1252) from several years ago has been unresponsive to my request for a quote to renew.
Can anyone recommend someone who'll sell me a renewal for 2-3 years for personal use for a decent price?
We use World Wide Technology (WWT) for all of our Cisco purchases including the SmartNet warranties. My salesman's name is Keith and his number is 1 (314) 919-1513. I'm not sure if it makes a difference if it's for personal or business use.
reply to ke4pym Cisco makes no distinction between business and "personal" for SmartNet.
You can ask Cisco directly (don't expect them to care for such a small purchase) or any Cisco certified reseller/partner. CDW sells smartnet contracts, but you might get a better deal through a local reseller.
reply to ke4pym CDW has always been very responsive to any of my smartnet requests. They usually email within 24 hours of contract purchase for device specifics.
Short version is a) download LEGITIMATE updated software, b) access to TAC for technical assistance, and c) replacement of dead / faulty hardware beyond the warranty expired date.
