Need to always reset router for max speeds with boost plus

I get absolutely awesome speeds with boost plus, like 60 mbps download for about a day after i reset my router. after that, it just slowly declines unitl it gets to non boost levels. if i reset the router (take 10 seconds) i'm back up to 60 mbps.

any one else have this happen?? there must be a solution. i have an asus rt-n12 router.

Have you tried another router? Updated firmware?

Problem exists wired or wireless and I'm running the latest firmware too. I wonder if it is cablevison throttling me or something. They just slowly slide your speed down and hope you don't notice? Very annoying. I'd rather not buy another router if I don't have to, couldn't it be a problem with the line modem or service provider... Just odd out it levels out the non boost speed after a couple days

Based on your description, no. If it's resolving with a router reboot, it is almost definitely the router. If there's a day you can test without the router, that should help prove it, but you can otherwise try to troubleshoot your router. Factory reset, for example, since you stated FW is up to date. You can also search to see if anyone else with your router & FW revision has problems, but I can't imagine something like that goes unpatched long.

Ok thanks. I'll try the router less test and tell you how that goes. Sounds like this isn't a common problem with optimum boost plus

which router? Definitely sounds like that's the culprit as i get 60Mbps all the time with my Linksys E4200.

Based on your posts, it's the router.
Cablevision does not throttle.

be lucky you get sixty guess how much I get?... 2mbps on speedtest.net and 5 on optimum speedcheck. So sick of this I have boost and supposed to be getting up to 30. So sick of this service right now.
