Re: TSA Nude Body Scanner Program Is A Fraud said by FF4me :$1B of TSA Nude Body Scanners Made Worthless By Blog How Anyone Can Get Anything Past The Scanners:
This video [on site - 4'34"] is here to demonstrate that the TSAs insistence that the nude body scanner program is effective and necessary is nothing but a fraud, just like their claims that the program is safe (radiation what?) and non-invasive (nude pictures who?). The scanners are now effectively worthless, as anyone can beat them with virtually no effort. The TSA has been provided this video in advance of it being made public to give them an opportunity to turn off the scanners and revert to the metal detectors. I personally believe they now have no choice but to turn them off.
Please share this video with your family, friends, and most importantly, elected officials in federal government. Make sure they understand that your vote is contingent on them fixing the abuse that 200,000 passengers face from the TSA on a daily basis. Great so now we go back to intrusive pat downs instead? What a "win" for us. |

| reply to FutureMon That the way the scanners work (you are light colored, any objects are black, and the background is black, that all you have to do is put the contraband on the side of your body, and the object is indistinguishable from the background.
He did it with a decent size metal carrying case in a pocket he sewed onto the side of his shirt, and went thru at least 2 different airports without detection (with hidden camera footage).
Although to get around that, I'd guess the TSA would just make us all get xrayed 4 times instead of two (once for each side, and front and back). |

With the large numbers of poeple reporting what would justify as a sexual assault outside of security theatre its entirely possible.
Unless the workers themselves are searched in extreme detail zero tolerance or not a rouge employee (perv) could bring a camera in to increase their viewing.
You also have to wonder if the storage database is behind classified or un-classified machines. That could wind up still being hacked.
FF4me: Security is a game of cat and mouse. Until travel by plane becomes an "activity restricted by permit" then people will always find a way to debunk or reverse engineer security technology. |

And, probably more importantly, it is a big profit making business opportunity and propaganda tool. |
