I agree that certain websites can misbehave for brief periods of time, but if YouTube is working perfectly well on my old ISP in the morning, and then is broken by the afternoon of that same day (after making the switch to u-verse), I think I can justifiably place the blame on AT&T's service rather than accepting this as the nature of the internet.
Anyway, as a follow-up to my previous post -- it's the middle of the day on Saturday and buffering anything on YouTube above 360p has slowed to a crawl for no apparent reason. As expected, SpeedTest shows my connection speed at full strength. |

 2 edits | reply to Natey Checking out Youtube's "My Speed" page, my average video speed appears to be 4.5 Mbps and falling.

Edit: I'm also currently monitoring my transfer rate while buffering a Youtube video and, sure enough, it's stuck at around 150 - 200 KB/s on my 12Mbps connection.
Switching over to Netflix.... and my download rate jumps up to over a megabyte per second. |
