| [NEWS] Ticket reseller's bad behavior A a rising star Connecticut entrepreneur hard charging lobbyist disrupts a party in Hartford. Who would have thought that concert going could have a seamy side?

When do you own something but don't? Paperless ticketing. Convenience fees conveniently rake 5% or more off the top out of mine and everyone elses pockets |

| The guy was in Malloy's First Five program. »www.governor.ct.gov/malloy/cwp/v···Q=483566 . There's also the story that he is a sexual harrassment suit »www.smartgrowthforvernon.org/vne···ork.html.
Malloy's vetting process somehow missed the "hard to find" sexual harassment suit. Malloy was questioned about it and the reply was that every vetting process needs work. The work that that vetting process needs would qualify for stimulus funds (no pun intended, but its pretty good).
Sleaze seems to run abound here. Thank God we got the liquor store hours crisis behind us.

Used to be Louisiana was the benchmark of political corruption. Hell, we Nutmeg heads could show LA how it's done. |

Used to be Louisiana was the benchmark of political corruption. Hell, we Nutmeg heads could show LA how it's done. I saw "The Police" in concert a few years back at Rentschler Field, and quite a few people were scalping tickets right in front of the CT state police in front of the stadium!!
Not a word was said- CT police were turning a blind eye to it all! Guess they figured it was a victimless crime... if you were willing to pay what the scalper wanted... then so be it. |

| reply to RayGeode "Scalping" is legal in Indiana. We would travel to Indy and walk right up to the Formula One event without having purchased tickets, and we were able to buy very good seats at very reasonable prices just by walking up to the group selling tickets and bargain with them.
Like "price gouging", "scalping" is yet another political football that politicians use to say they're protecting the unwashed masses while in actuality they're creating protectionism for one side of the transaction while ensuring they get their cut.
If the transaction is done with full consent of both parties, then it's none of the government's business.
This guy is an a&&hole, and got called out in public for it.
