Re: Vancouver Cable - Becoming quite slow @ peak hours Hey Guys,
So to confirm, yes the DCM475 modem has been tested & certified on the Shaw Network. As far as we know, Shaw has asked that we only use DOCSIS3 on such services. Available services which would be able to use the modem is our Pro & Pro Elite 25/2.5 Meg.
We are still trying to confirm a few details but once & only once the DCM475 has been put on our site for BC Cable will we be allowing the modem. For now, only the DCM475 has been tested. No news on any other makes or models.
I don't have much more details than what I've just provided. Don't know either about expansion into other cities nor about speed matching. -- TSI Martin (Escalations) - TekSavvy Solutions Inc. Authorized TSI employee ( »»TekSavvy FAQ »Official support in the forum ) |

(Heck, the advantages of letting modems bond however many channels as they can are obvious enough that even slowpoke Rogers is doing it wherever possible even though none of their current tiers come anywhere close to requiring it... can't imagine why Shaw who decided to bet the farm on internet service would not do this.) |
