Re: eletrical subpanel - replace or repair? Replace it, it is beyond salvage. The bus bar is burnt, there are numerous termination issues such as what looks to be a neutral wire going to a breaker (white wire should be marked as hot), as well as two wires to a single breaker (also against code), romex cable entering the top is missing clamps, predominant rust affecting connection quality of terminals, heavy oxidization on the neutral bus bar, and rust quite possibly permeating the breaker affecting mechanical functionality. Additionally there's that little bonus of that romex at the bottoming exiting the panel through the indentation of the drywall.
The condensation issue needs to be addressed before putting a new panel into place however. |
