I know this is a dumb question...but- How does one copy (capture) a screen shot of some type, like KPF settings, for example, to post in the forum for review? I use WinXP. Thanks! -- Got Milk? |

| reply to catManic Try IrfanView. Free, takes a nice screenshot, and makes a fantastic viewer. It's a keeper... and I see a lot of people here are using it...
Just a few tips, if possible, since you mentioned it:
GIF is a good format - a very compact format ...
JPEG is fine, but save it at ~3-5 compression to quality ratio and preferably in baseline "standard" mode...
Sample at 72 dpi for any format ...
This will keep your filesize small without losing much clarity, and it has less chance getting lost behind a link in your post, instead of an attachment... not mandatory, but it makes posts easier to read... oh, and a reminder... if the screen is blurred, it's probably resized. Click the shot to view fullsize... or, better, right click and "open in new window," to follow the post...
hehe.. beat me to the punch, BlitzenZeus... ________________________ Posted by BlitzenZeus: Press Printscreen to capture your entire screen or Press Alt+Printscreen to capture the current active window
