 | [HN7000S] power cycling Two recent power outages, both times when power resumed at power strip, everything came back up except 7000s modem. Had to do complete disconnect of all cables and power source and then full reconnect. Extremely sensitive and all cables must be connected in right sequence in order for five lights on modem. Is this normal? |

 | reply to smokey70 I had the same problem a few months ago. Eventually my modem would not come back on. I had to have it replaced. |
|
 | reply to smokey70 no, its not really normal, and Greg, good question.
but 2 power outages? like power goes out on your street ? block? or you turn it off at the strip? |

 | San Diego gas and electric likes to switch off the power when the east wind blows.....and the cables do not go through the power strip |

| reply to smokey70 This happen to me atleast 10 times in the past but oddly enough to know that our modem is no longer doing this even if our power just flips out and back on but shuts the modem down, it's always now starting back up with no problems.
You can try turning everything off for say two minutes then plug back in the HughesNet modem first THEN plug back in your router. -- HN7000S/ 1 watt/ pro plus edition/ 4 pc's on a D-Link wired router/ 1-2 pc's on wireless D-Link router with password |
