Remote (Network) DVR+ Service is terrible

Anyone else have the following issues?

- Scheduled recording delete themselves on a weekly basis
- Sometimes the schedule is there but it does not record
- Old deleted schedules come back randomly
- Slow access times, lag when forwarding and rewinding

Yes the service is pretty bad...

Yes the service is pretty bad...

-I have trouble with some all episode scheduled recordings not rescheduling and have gotten that problem to Cablevision's development team. It's been happening for the past 4 weeks.
-I haven't had any issues with something actually scheduled not recording.
-Haven't seen old things come back.
-The slow response has been there from day 1.

It is certainly not the best DVR and except for the fact that you can record 4 things at once and watch in any room, it's not as good as the SA8300, which I still have in another room.

Same here as what Remy said I haven't lost things or had them reappear but 'season passes' have been disappearing for some reason recently. Glad I don't have an 8300 or I'd remember daily how it should be. I keep thinking it will get better...

They had this problem once before with all episode scheduled recordings not rescheduling so hopefully this will be a quick fix. With the new TV season upon us I will be very unhappy about having to set them all up each week, especially with how much of a pain it is since the guide always reverts back to the current time.

That guide going back to the current time is a major pain when trying to schedule a bunch of recordings - they really need to fix that !!

Well my DVR plus did schedule the season premiere of "Modern Family" for next Wednesday. I set it up last season as all episode, first run and it remembered. Unlike the SA8300, DVR plus does not have a list of "placeholders" for you to see.

Just tried watching my third recorded program. And as with the previous ones, this one was loaded with issues. I am about ready to turn it off - it is clearly not even close to being ready for use - should be free while we beta test it.

My external hard drive died when the power came back after Irene. rather than invest in another hard drive I figured DVR Plus would give me extra storage and allow playback in other rooms - great idea. But it is so awful I guess I may have to look for another eSata drive to connect to my DVR.

I have two of the Samsung network DVR boxes. As soon as I pickup a Ceton card, I will be returning them and picking up a cable card.

The boxes are garbage.

Good to see it's not only me. !

Anyway I can't even do anything, not like I'm paying for it. 1st year is promotional with no charge.

Apparently they can't even give out any more of the old style DVR's so there's no options. is there?

I don't think that is true. Regular old (SD and HD) DVRs are still available. You could also get a TiVO with CableCards.

They're not buying any new DVR's, so whatever is left you may get, otherwise you have to get DVR+

Based on my experience there is no way customers will stand for that. The service IMHO is unusable right now. I will likely give it another week or so, but if no improvement I will cancel.

What a shame. The concept was a good idea but everyone is finding bugs in it. I wonder if they are aware of all the issues.

They're pushing customers to network DVRs. Once out of the triple play promo, they charge $10.95 FOR EACH DVR BOX if you're using the SA 8300 boxes.

I'm soon gonna do them and myself a favor by returning all boxes and only renting a cable card.

Guess I never bothered looking at pricing until the triple play deal stopped waiving the DVR fee, typically done for customers who defect from dish like I did three years ago.

Web DVR does not work with DVR+. You should be able to use the iPad/iPhone/iPod app for it.
