Re: [Wireless] Using router in 2 locations The ISPs are cox and timewarner/roadrunner. The modem at the "other" location which is a campground will not be connected when I'm not there. I turn all the power off except refrigerator. And, when I'm away from home, I unplug my pc and accessories. So, in theory, I'm hoping I could simply plug in a cat5 cable and plug into the wall and have wireless access.
I am trying to take the cheapest route possible at the campground thus the idea to swap the router out at each location. TWC will provide a modem for free (A netgear, not sure which model). |

This is what the sales rep told me. What modems are you aware of that they offer and are they free/no rental fee? |

planet join:2001-11-05 Oz kudos:1 | The modem provided by TWC is a motorola sb 5100. I am using an old linksys befsx41 wired router for now. I will pick up a wireless router over the winter. Decided as davidhoffman stated..easier to not take back and forth. Hope the e2000 models stay low in cost. I see walmart has them now for $79. |
