|  hi my house is wired for network but ?
Hi , i have comcast for a isp and my home is wired for networking
but when i plug my router a dlink DGL-4500 in to the wall then go to my patch panel and hook the networkign cable to a linksys switch EG008W my modem lights just flash i can still use the net but my phone dosent work BTW my phone is also through comcast
any ideas or help would be great thank you |

| Where in all this is the Comcast modem? A picture of how everything connects would be incredibly useful?
When you say "I can still use the net but phone doesn't work" By net do you mean your home LAN or the Internet?
I assume this is some sort of VoIP phone service. How does your phone connect to Comcast?
I assume you home has wiring for Ethernet and POTS phone service. Is that correct?

hi thank you for getting back to me so soon i was able to get it figured out there where a couple cables in the pannel not hooked up .... every thing is working the way it should now again thank you for the help . |
