is there something special i need to do to get the remote to work? change a setting in the camera? the guy in the store told me to pull the plastic tab out, which I did, but I feel like such an amateur pushing buttons and nothing is happening. forgive me as i'm a little frustrated by this seemingly simple task. -- | map your city | |

I'm guessing pulling out the tab engages the battery on the remote.
Is there a light on the unit that lights up when you push the button?
Try changing the battery
Look at the manual for you camera. Do you need to turn on a setting in the camera? |

other places mention that the battery runs down quickly if left in the remote, and that nikon recommends removing it between uses? |

| reply to pcdebb it took a while but i figured it out, it's in the shooting mode. after not taking shots for a while it "resets" back to normal mode and i have to go back and set it back to the remote. responds quickly tho. gonna see how the images came out. had some "interference" this year -- | map your city | |
