How many DVI Cables can I "daisy chain"

Gonna relocate my huge tower into a closet we just built in home, thats going to be about 15-18" away from where Desk and monitor are going to be.

I could just buy a 15' DVI to DVI extension for $25, but I have about 5 or 6, 4' DVI Cables leftover from an install project I was on.

If I daisy chain those, am I gonna lose any signal/resolution? (Its going to a 19" HP LCD Monitor)

yes, you might lose some signal/resolutioin The maximum length is about 6. You can try it but you might be disappointed.

Unless your existing cables are Male/Female, you're going to need gender-benders to join them together... I would imagine a couple of DVI F/F adapters would quickly pass the long cable, price wise...

I may just switch back to VGA, and get a 15' VGA Cable.

Cheaper, and probably wont notice that much of a difference, since I am not gaming as much now as I used to 2 years ago.

I've used a 15' DVI -> HDMI cable and had no problems with it.

I don't recall seeing any non-active DVI extenders (that would mate the cables together). So DVI won't be cheaper than around $20 (25ft cable on Monoprice)

You would lose more quality with VGA over that length than DVI
