| Comcast new deal what are the hidden costs
They say 1 year lock in
as well as FREE HD with no HD access or equipment fees
Does that mean 1 free HD box forever? 1 year?
HD/DVR box and service free for 6 months
Im I locked in to the DVR box for the full year? Do I get a HD DVR and a HD box free? Pay full HD dvr price after 6m? pay the diff form the HD box to HD DVR box?
What level is this digital starter, digital classic, sports pack or does it very per area as some areas have spots pack channels , digital classic stuff in analog / digital stater?
Is the plus one Digital classic or some mix of stater, classic and some sports packs channels?
Does each area have there own added fees.
Do I have to pay the phone box and modem rent as well?
Do I have to take the HD DVR? can I just use cable card stuff / tru2way stuff with no added fee?
add more boxes at a lower rate for 6m then they go up?
it's odd how they say fee box and service for DVR and not just free HD DVR. |

2 edits | I signed up for this, but got it with the 50/10 HSI.
After 6 months, you have to pay the $10/month for the DVR. You are locked into 1 year for the DVR. No one mentioned anything to me about an additional HD box. Why do you think you get one?
Go on the Comcast website to see what's included with digital starter in your area.
You have to pay for Modem rental.
Comcast usually has a BS charge for HD service. Apparently they are waiving that for this promotion.
My total cost with taxes is $158.00/month for the first 6 months. $10/month more after that. $50 of that is for the 50/10 upgrade. Otherwise it comes with their 12/2 HSI.
Try to negotiate the extravagent installation fees. They told me that normally it would be $117, but that through the special and doing my own internet install it was $71. Then she knocked it down to $51 somehow. |

1 edit | reply to caster5 You better check with Comcast and try to negotiate a even better deal. The one you mentioned is HD-DVR free for the first 6-month. At basic tier, you can always receive HD programmings for public televisions such ABC, CBS, NBC, FOX, PBD, free and without HD box. I got a deal that says Digital Preferred with HBO and HD-DVR free for 2 years at $44.95. C/S told me it is different from they advertise on the web. |

It's a pretty good deal I think. |

Goober Premium join:2000-12-17 Naperville, IL | In this Locked and Loaded promotion, it's mostly all included, except for the last 6 months of the HD DVR ($10/m), EMTA ($3/m) and installation ($91 but negotiated down to $51) and tax ($10/m).
I though it was pretty good too. |
