| [Tomato] Save Logs
Hi all---
I am using Tomato (v1.23) on my Linksys WRT54GL wireless router. I would like it to save and display my bandwidth usage for some time. But the unit seems to reset every 30 days. Ie: after the 30 days, the uptime displays 0 days, x hours, x minutes. All the logs for the last 30 days go Pooof.
How do I stop this from happening? |

| I have a version of Tomato 1.23 which supports USB drives. I'm able to save my log information to the hard drive and have months of data saved.
As the WRT54GL doesn't have a USB port, it will never support a local drive. It would be nice to see Tomato provide support for NAS type devices to save log information. That way WRT54GL's could save logs over a LAN. -- "People demand freedom of speech as a compensation for the freedom of thought which they seldom use." |

| reply to Dominokat This is what I use to a NAS device with Tomato
What is CIFS? This is probably more commonly known to some as Samba or Windows Shared Folders or the "\\machine\share" thing. It's used to make a drive from a computer or device accessible from within the router.
Why isn't CIFS working for me?
* Use an IP address. ex: \\192.168.1.5\share * Use a regular account that requires username/password instead of a guest account. * Make sure the account has read/write permission. * Make sure NAT Loopback is enabled in Advanced/Firewall.
