| [Tomato] Make the Switch?
Hey all,
I have a Linksys at home and was wondering what the advantages would be of switching to Tomato?
I have multiple connections on my router, one computer can be really fast and the other can be really slow - would switching to Tomato fix this? My ISP is cogeco.
Thanks in advance.

| Control. If you just need it to switch packets, don't bother. If you want to enable some cool stuff, like being able to SSH tunnel through your router, or run QOS on your network, install Tomato.
Plus it gives you a lot more security options, which allows you to really lock down your network. -- FIOS Installed November 2, 2004: 30Mbps down, 5Mbps up Hate Spam? Sue Spammers! »www.angryox.com/vaspam/ |

I have never found multiple connections to slow down any one of my attached devices, but of course how much you are doing on a given computer such as heavy gaming/torrents/video streaming would be a different story. In that case, Tomato or DD-WRT may be a good option. -- Deeds, not words |
