Well I picked it up today for the 360. Liking it a lot so far, I feel like a little kid again. Anyone else get it?

Picked it up this morning at GameStop, but haven't had much time to play yet. It's good so far. It came with a $10 e-Movie Cash certificate, T-Shirt and a GameStop exclusive downloadable flight suit. The bonus stuff for preordering was a little sweeter than usual this time. It was very cool that the phone call to let you know when it was ready for pickup was a prerecorded message from Dan Aykroyd. I haven't checked yet but I believe the original movie was released to Blu-Ray today also. I'm in no hurry for that but certainly plan to pick it up sometime this summer. The first thing I did in the game was slide down the pole.

Man, I've been playing this game for more than 4 hours now. Love how capturing ghosts isn't simple, gotta work to get them. The script and jokes are the same old good stuff from the series.

Trying to decide if this is worth the $60 investment.

Hmmm... maybe wait a month or two.

If you are a fan of the movies or the cartoon or both, it will be worth it.

I am a long time fan of the movies and cartoons. I absolutely love this game. It's so much fun... Well made in my opinion. Capturing the ghosts isn't easy. You really feel like a Ghostbuster. The tone is bang on with the movies. The jokes and scares... Come on, how can you beat the original cast as the voices of your beloved Ghostbusters?

Multiplayer is fun as well... I jumped on with 3 of my friends and we had a blast. Working together to trap ghosts is sometimes necessary and so plays on team work. I highly recommend this game to anyone. If you are a fan of The Ghostbusters, it's a must buy, otherwise definitely a rental.

What else can I say but... "WHO YOU GONNA CALL?"

I'm going to get it, but I have a Wii.

Seems they killed all the graphics for the Wii. Made the entire game cartoony. Big suprise, Wii owners getting crapped on again

Limitations of the hardware. This same complaint applies to every Wii game, I don't think it needs to be restated in every thread. Surely you did some research before purchasing?

I don't think it's limitations of hardware. Yes, I did research before purchasing. But when they have a old game like Resident Evil 4 ported over to the Wii looking just bloody awesome (add Legend of Zelda to that as well!), and then have a new game like Ghostbusters ported over looking like cartoony crap....

The Wii version wasn't ported over. A different studio made the game. They made it cartoony on purpose.

I see I see. So is it a different story line? I have decided to get the PC Version because of the graphics, and I am game-flying the Wii Version because I dont think the Wii Version will be a keeper.

Cheers!

I picked up the game earlier this week and didn't get to play it until last night. Started playing it around 10pm. Next thing I know I look over at the clock and it's 3am. -_-

Was having a blast and the game just sucked me right in. The characters brought back so many childhood memories. The secret items are fun to find because it gives you a little background information and you can also interact with a lot of them in the firehouse. Like someone mentioned above, the ghosts are kind of tricky to catch... it's not really a matter of just shooting them.

Kept wanting to play to find out what happened next in the storyline, but I'll have to finish it up this weekend. Got 4 hours sleep last night. :P

Quick question:

how do you go about starting the co-op mode this game is supposed to have? Are you able to co-op through the career? Or is it strictly just the nature of the multiplayer jobs that you have online?

There is no story co-op. Only multiplayer co-op.

I'll probably buy this once it drops to $30-$40. I do like Ghostbusters, but it's always hard to spend 60 bucks on a game that I know I'll probably only play once through.

It's really cool that they got all the main actors to sign on to the project. Clearly they took the care to make this something that fans will enjoy, instead of just another crappy movie cash-in.

Good call. I'd wait for it to hit a lower price after playing it. It was a fun single player story, and multiplayer is fun, but I don't think it will have legs past a month or two in keeping me playing.

It's like a 10 hour ghostbuster movie or however long it took me to get through the game. Now I go back and scour the thing clean and get the trophy for building up a massive insurance claim.

Seriously, it's worth the money just for the Stay-Puft sequence. It's epic in scope.

It's a true sequel to the movies, and that's why (and how) they got everyone involved. It's not perfect, the controls are a bit wonky when trying to move inanimate objects, but everything works extremely well when catching ghosts. There's only two scenes where the clunkiness of moving things around is important - unless you're going for the trophy for not doing much collateral damage.
