[TDPH] Garage Sale Fundraiser - Got parts?

I know we've done this before..

It's time again..summer & additional costs to run blades are upon us.

If you have any old parts, or those gathering dust that you'd be interested in donating to Project Hope, please post here. New Quads would be awesome to further our search for cures

It might be worthwhile to someone..somewhere looking..
And it might garner extra funds to buy our TDPH hosts with older equipment new (more efficient) blades

I have (currently):

•One Motorola ModemSurfer Internal fax/data modem
•One ActionTec v.90 & K56Flex (Universal) fax/data modem
•One iOmega external CD-RW ..usb cord no power cord

Please contact Dersgniw See Profile for info on sales & proceeds after posting.

Re: [TDPH] Secretary Report - Garage Sale Fundraiser - Got parts

If any of you are good at repairing electronics, I have some Linksys routers you might be able to fix. They quit working on me and I replaced them, but I still have them.

I probably have a mouse and keyboard or 2 also. Also power cords and network cables.

Oh, and a couple of AGP video cards.

TDPH already made $134 this year on some Ebay sales - I'm sure everyone already saw this post »www.tdprojecthope.com/forum/inde···pic=1012

Ideally, we'd like to make at least $10 on any sale. So, if you think you have something worth at least $10 and don't need it, then let us know!

I have a load of RAM that I'll be adding to the mix.

Hey Lisa I think you can get some good money for those items in E-bay. Especially for that 56K modem

I'm usually fortunate enough to sell my pc's complete with components before they age to much, but I looked through my boxes and drawers anyway. All I can find is an older CPU.

I think Lisa it also might be a good idea to compensate our members for shipping. Times are hard and I'm sure not everyone is able to pay for shipping. I'm sure some members have many parts that they could contribute, but it might be a matter of shipping it over that is the problem.

Personally, I feel that if this is the case. It should not stop the our members from contributing. As long as the item can fetch enough to cover the shipping costs, I think we should be able to reimburse our members. This way the project gets benefited and the member gets reimbursed. The member feels good that not only they where able to make a contribution, but also where able to do so even though they might not otherwise have been able to afford it. Any opinions on this?

Slava, we're offering shipping reimbursement. There's nothing at all wrong donating parts and asking for some of the proceeds to cover shipping.

So, if anyone has parts, but doesn't have the extra cash right now to pay shipping, just let me know what parts you've got. Don't even tell me you don't want to pay shipping because I'll already be telling you we'll reimburse.
