Re: Are they shelving cap or overage fees?

From WHAM: »www.13wham.com/news/local/story/···COw.cspx
quote:
"Rochester, N.Y. -- Sen. Charles Schumer (D-NY) announced Thursday that Time Warner Cable will shelve plans for a tiered pricing system for Internet use.

Time Warner Cable had intended to use Rochester as a test market for the new plan that would have placed heavy internet users into a higher price tier.

Schumer said he called management Wednesday to oppose Rochester being used as a test market.

"We are celebrating," Schumer said.

Schumer said he would work with Time Warner on future changes."

StoptheCap is being pounded with traffic right now, and there is nothing I can really do about it except turn off some services, which I am trying to do right now. Sorry for the difficulty reaching us.

Honestly I would accept a 50GB cap if we were given decent upload speeds.

We need a web 2.0 compatible internet. It takes hours to upload my photos to flickr. It is almost too much trouble to do such a thing.
