Service Electric Lehigh Valley DVR Restrictions

Today on some sports and documentary programs I noticed that the "Fast Forward" function during commercials was limited to fast forwarding at 1x. If you try to fast forward faster than the first speed the picture will freeze and you have to press play to unfreeze it. This will begin playback again and you will be able to fast forward at 1x.

The DVR will allow you to fast forward a maximum of 5x which can only be used during the program. But is limited to 1x during commercials.

Guess the advertisers finally got fed up with consumers zipping through the advertisements.

Thank god I have TiVo.

Our Service electric charges $15/month for the DVR which is way too overpriced anyway. The anti-skip technology just makes it even worse in my book.

If you can, get a TiVo HD and cablecard and say NO to their overpriced DVR.
