i guess i need to clarify a little bit. there are a few players on this dallas team that i think could use a little discipline like that. the one that comes to mind 1st is flozel "false start" adams. i don't understand why this guy has to do this several times a game. he is not blocking like he use to so i guess he is trying to get a head start. that crap has to end. those 5 yard penalties add up. |

I'm not sure starting your head coaching career with a lopsided defeat and calling out players is the precursor to a successful coaching career. Coaches do need to play with who they have during a season, and one of their jobs is to get the best they can out of their players. If Singletary repeats this on a weekly basis he's going to look like he's in over his head and he'll begin to lose player support and, more importantly, player effort.

But he does seem a bit detached from things.
-Singletary said he wanted a game manager at quarterback, but he said that didn't mean he wanted a 2-yard out, followed by a run, followed by a 2-yard out. He said Montana was a good game manager.
-Singletary has said a couple times that he wants a physical offense, which seems to fly in the face of what Martz is trying to do. Singletary doesn't agree. "I think his offense can be very physical and it can put the ball in the air." The blend between what Singletary wants and what Martz wants will bare watching.

Anthony henry is now listed on the cowboys injury list... it's looking like he won't play this upcoming week against the giants... that secondary just keeps getting more and more injured... real bad news for the boys
