| McAfee free to AT&T Yahoo users
While I don't use it, McAfee is now free to AT&T Yahoo users. I read on one of the other forums about the switch from notorious Norton. It is called "AT&T Internet Security Suite powered by McAfee®". I don't know if it installs toolbars or other ****ware.
»att.software.yahoo.com/ysftc/p/att/v4/choice has the free McAfee download. |

Also, McAfee is limited to only 4 installations, and the Symantec bloatware was limited to 7.
Does anyone know if this will install on a 64 bit OS? |

And can use it on the other PC's as well. |

I have posted about it in SW forum: »AT&T and Norton - Importan Update |

You can install the AT&T Internet Security Suite on up to 4 qualified computers. You may return to the Internet Security Suite page on any other computer in your home and repeat the process. It does not say 7, it says 4. |

| said by Frohike :Lev, looks like you might be trying to access it with a subaccount and not the main ID. Except I wasn't. It's the main account name.
However, it is a business class account, tied to static service. That's the only difference I can see.
Meanwhile, gdm's information still didn't specifically say Vista 64 bit.
Every day, I'm getting closer to ordering Comcast Business Class. |

Frohike Premium join:2000-07-23 Waxahachie, TX | GDMs 1st post states Vista 32 and 64 bit. We were told it will be compatible with Vista 64.
Lev - is your email migrated to yahoo servers or did it stay on our legacy servers? Need to get info on why you see 4...and not 7. |
|
lev Napoleon is always right Premium,Ex-mod 2002-08 join:2001-05-30 Chicago, IL clubs: | It's an att.net account, so no migration was necessary. It's always been on Yahoo. |

gdm Premium,MVM join:2001-06-15 Mchenry, IL clubs: | reply to Frohike None of my posts point to 64bit. StillLearn is pulling directly from the McAfee site which isn't always the exact same software as the online stuff offered by the ISP's.
I still don't see anything stating 64bit. |

| My apologies....ya it was StillLearn. And I made the mistake of assuming it was from this version.
The site says the MINIMUM - doesn't exclude Vista 64 - and on our information at work - it shows 64 bit Vista as compatible. 1st day this is out - so next day or 2 will show. |
