Has anyone successfully added an eSata drive to the 8300HD?
If so, has anyone used the Western Digital DVR Expander or perhaps another product? |

Yes, you can do it. Total is up to 500GB. I used an inexpensive Cavalry 500GB external eSata drive. Works like a charm for many months now. |

I added the Apricorn DVR Expander 500GB to my 8300HD. It works out just fine. Every now and again (2 weeks-10 weeks), my box stops talking to the external drive. i just have to pull the power cord on the 8300HD and reboot it and it's fine for quite a while. I'm certainly willing to deal with that small hassle for the increased capacity. |
