George or anyone, I have 2 questions. I have a ATT/SBC branded Speedstream 4100.The tech readout gives these values:
97 VPI 0
98 VCI 35
99 VC Encapsulation LLC
First question is: is that the right setting for VC encapsulation or should it be VC-Mux? It wasn't mentioned in the post above. Also I've been reading up to tweak my connection to squeeze the most out of it. I have my MTU set to 1500. Is there another value I could use that would give me an increase in speed? I know dsl has overhead and I'd like to reduce it if possible. Thanks in advance. |

Winnetka, CA | Those settings are all correct. You may want to tweak your computer using the tweak test tool here on BBR. Other than that there isn't anything that needs to be changed in the modem itself. |
