Re: Wildblue Cancellation Experience

No, WildBlue warns you at 80%, FAPs you at 100% and reinstates you to full speed when you drop back down to 70% of your limit. What is so difficult to understand about this?

I beg to differ with you as I was fapped at 80%, my pecentage did not go down with the modem unplugged for 6 days straight. I was paying and could not use it. My speed went down to about 26k at one point so I had no choice but to find an alternative. I must say that it was a good decision. I am now officially done wasting any more breath on WildBlue. Anyone who loves to sign one-sided contracts that a million dollar lawyer cannot break and no speed guarantees combined with lots of Gateway problems and weather outages as well as untrained amateurs for Tier 1 support is more than welcome to join.

Beg all you want, you're still wrong! Enjoy your new alternative.

I am not sure why there should be confusion on this matter. I was told today, after getting a warning email yesterday, by a WildBlue rep that anytime my usage goes over 70% my speed will be throttled back. Installer said nothing about the FAP. Total crooks.

I was just nailed for $552.00 early cancellation fee even though my contract ran out November 2006!. I had a no contract account an decided to quit. I have been trying to get my money back for several days now to no avail even though they admit it was a mistake. beware folks beware.
