Internet Access in Houston?

Been having connection issue with internet in Houston. anyone else having problem?

Also, the link "DSL status" on left column is broken. Is there a new link I can follow to check my status?

TY

I am having issues in Dallas. Are you having intermittent connection woes? Sites timeout and then 2 minutes later they are fine?

Yes, exactly, although, doesn't take 2 min, but more like 30sec to 1 min.

Called ATT and they said, there is no outage in Houston Area so i'm bit clueless. Hope it goes away soon.

yeah no "outage" just sync issues lol. It would be better to use the AT&T support forum here than calling tier 1 tech support. They do not seem to have the diagnostic capabilities that the others do.

I called again to ask about same problem and one more question regarding upgrading my DSL.

I think her name was Mary. She was accessing my line status, asked me to hold. So I did for about 15+min while I can hear her and others chatting.

I couldn't wait any longer so I said, "Hello?" "Hello??", "HELLO???" while I could still hear her chatting and laughing to her co-workers. No responds from her what so ever so I hung up the phone. When I first called her, she confirmed my home # in case we get disconnected. So far no call back from her.

Talk about BAD... REALLY BAD support from ATT. What a way to treat a customer. Is there a way to report this so she can at least get reprimanded for this?

Experiencing the same here near Springfield, MO since about 5 AM. Sync and everything on this end is fine, just some bad routing problems through AT&T's network to some locations (others have been completely fine the whole time).

I'm surprised this has not been fixed yet or any other info available as now it's over eight hours since the issue started. Normally the AT&T service is excellent but unfortunately the routing issue has been causing lots of problems here today.

Thanks in advance for any additional info.

Are you guys possibly having problems pulling up webpages and such?

Hi, thanks for your reply.

It's been web pages and other services like email, FTP, SSH, IRC, etc, as well as 100% packet loss when pinging some remote hosts (and traceroutes stopping in the AT&T network both outbound and inbound). So just overall connectivity to some places.

Things seem to be returning back to normal over the last little while, but if you want a couple example traceroutes from earlier I can send those over.

Actually no need, I was advised by one of my contacts he found a problem and fixed it.

he advised to check it again and if so power cycle your equipment and grab a new IP.
