| reply to MAIZnBLUE A quick search of the linksys support forums shows people crying out for a firmware update for a multitude of issues. With the exception of a static dns issue, my wrt600n has been working fine for me.
Linksys/Cisco have dropped the ball on this one it seems. |

| reply to MiNdErAsR said by MiNdErAsR Linksys/Cisco have dropped the ball on this one it seems. It's not the first time they've done this and certainly not the last. There are unresolved issues in the official firmware for basically every Linksys router from the likes of the BEFW11S4 to the WRT54G/GS/GL, the current WRTxx0N routers. |

| and the answer seems to be... dd-wrt. At least for my WRT54G/GL's and my WRT350N (or other 3rd party fw if you like and supports your particular hw). Maybe we need to assume that it was only the HW what we got in exchange for our hard earned $$. |

| reply to MAIZnBLUE I would like to use DD-WRT also, but the problems I have been reading about with it are making me stay with the stock firmware for the time being. I have spoken (more like argued) with Linksys regarding some of the problems, some as simple as Logging. I have not gotten them to ever admit there is a problem. I posted a couple of messages on their forum and Linksys edited my messages and removed anything that said there was anything wrong with their products... I can't believe Linksys does not even support what I think is their most expensive router. |

| What's up with Linksys not releasing any new firmware for this A-G draft N router?
I suspect its hardware is being replaced but still, to orphan this new product is really crass. -- Madison, CT, home of the Hammonasset State Park |

| reply to MAIZnBLUE Funny, I have been waiting for an update to the firmware on their website...they finally release one and it's the version that came on my router. Don't know why they sell router with firmware that had not been released. So I guess I am waiting again for a firmware to fix my problems. |

@optonline.net | reply to MAIZnBLUE Well I installed the latest firmware 1.01.36 build 3. Since upgrading I can no longer connect to the 802.11n band. Only 802.11a works on the 5Ghz channel. It's to late now to call linksys but I will certainly be on the phone tomorrow. |

| reply to searcher61 Depends on your definition of 'released'. I would have thought it was approved by Engineering for production or for upgrade of previously produced items.
So it doesn't surprise me they have used it new build devices and the released it as an update after a period to unsure it is stable. |
