clubs: | a mod can lock a "subthread" in a thread. think of it as you can reply to anyone else in the thread, and maybe even those people, but they don't want you to quote and/or discuss those posts. they might be in the process of deleting them too |

Mods shouldnt be allowed to leave a post up and not have it be able to be replied to. If it is ok enough for all to see, it should be ok to be replied to. |

Yep. I'm 100% anti-lock, as I have said many times. Delete, edit, but never lock. Locking lets the trolls become the moderator. I've been modding the very busy site AppleInsider.com for about 2 years now, without a single lock. Plenty of deletes and bans, but never a lock. |
