Karl, a number of our subscribers have already ordered FTTN service. This is along the Wasatch Front in Utah, where is has been rather widely rolled out, and has indeed been announced.

Worth mentioning, this is a Qwest.net/MSN service only. Qwest is not allowing third party ISPs to host this connection as they have for DSL for the entire existence of the product.

Any ideas on when Qwest is going to allow third-party ISPs on their FTTN network? Or is there some reason that I'm not aware of that Qwest wouldn't want third-party ISPs on their FTTN?

whats really sad is a neighborhood that is barely 10 years old only has speeds as fast as 1.5 down! WTF

Qwest really bugs me to be honest. They just are not putting enough money into their network and it pisses me off.

I would rather give my money to qwest then to comcast any day of the week. Just wish they would wake up.

Give it a chance. They just announced they were rolling this network out like six months ago. There is a lot of work going in to rolling this service out. Here in NM they have turned up the service to about 15,000 homes, and the first turn up happend at the end of February. They have started where there was fiber in the ground already. I've heard they are going to work on the CO based DSL customers next year. This year it is all about upgrading remote terminals that have fiber run close by. I think they are going about it smart. I wish the 20M tier was lower, but I think the 12M is pretty reasonable.
