*Snicker* As a CB'er who still has the equipment that he was using back in the 70's, I remember this well. My home base station Cobra 32XLR still has the sticker on it with my license number. I also remember having to sign on the air with that number as well as sign off with it.
My Dad is/was a big stickler for following those rules.
I wonder if anyone still uses CB radios like they used to.
Id think id get in trouble if I went and put up my old base station antenna though... I think my HOA would say something if I put a mount on the roof of my condo building, and erected my 200 foot base antenna on the roof. I could receive from over 50 miles away if the weather was right, and could transmit almost 20 miles any time.
*Sigh* those were the days. -- I've discovered that I often visit the state of confusion, and I know my way around pretty well. |
