Has anyone ran a chkdsk on their system drive after this update?
I'm trying to narrow down why I'm BSODing after chkdsk finishes (it even writes to the event log that it finished) and then it crashes. -- "Ah, women. | Just to clarify, it's chkdsk /x or /r on the system volume, the one that requires the volume to be dismounted and it to be ran on next (re-)boot.
Apologies if Vista dismounts a system volume, like that in the screenshot, I haven't played around with Vista enough to know.
PS I'm using XP Pro SP2, fully patched. I tried a repair installation after this whole ordeal but the same thing. The other major thing I did was uninstall acronis and install ShadowProtect. |

I'll try a chkdsk at boot time and see what happens...
[EDIT] I just ran a chkdsk at boot-time and it completed and restarted the system without issue (no BSOD). I hope you find the culprit soon! -- N.Y. Giants - Super Bowl XLII Champions |

| Well I also have a CHKDSK issue now. I cannot make it run at boot at all. Windows just bypasses it. I was able to make the /F switch work using the BART PE, but couldn't do it on a normal boot.
I wonder if PD has something to do with this? -- If America has an official philosophy, it surely includes the belief in individualism, competition, private property, democracy, freedom, and a deep faith in education. This social philosophy is called "liberalism." GKM (1936) |

| Thanks sashwa . You saved me some trouble-shooting time.
My CHKDSK problem was caused not by PD, but apparently by Eboostr. |
