Block users from posting on your post.

How about a adding this into the block post feature. Where once you ignore his/her posts it also does not allow the person to post on your postings.

*object* Just because one blocks doesn't mean another would want to block, this is in effect blocking that post from other members also.

If you don't like my post then put me on ignore. But my witty comments may be of value/entertain others.
Maybe you can ask everyone here for their comments but never deliver the final product.

When you Block a member, it affects only you. Your suggestion would affect the ability of others to post. There's a huge difference.

This won't happen.

Object.

I'd be able to start a thread "Brianiscool sucks balls" and then block you from posting. All of your haters would comment and you'd have no say.

Then you would start a thread "exocet_cm is fat" and I wouldn't be able to comment, subsequently filling up the forums with useless nonsense.

That is how I see it playing out. Just "hey mods" the post if something goes south, that is what they are there for.

That totally defeats the purpose of the forums entirely. If people can't freely post, then what's the point of this site?

If you don't want to hear what a person has to say, then you have the option to ignore them. But so long as they follow the site rules, they have the right (well, privilege, really) to post in whatever forum they want.

Maybe you meant "strenuously object" though that didn't work in A Few Good Men either.

I like to just let negative posters blabber incoherently till they make complete fools of themselves. Then when I need a good laugh I reread the thread. It's better when they do it in an open forum so the joy reaches a much larger audience.

But if you don't recognize the fool it just may be you.

Edit: Sorry but I have to *Object*

Let's just get rid of the ignore button and be done with it.
It's only the enterwebz. All of your are my imaginary friends, nothing more

You've already ignored them. If they post on your thread, would you even notice what they've said?

Posting up threads that flame the moderators while blocking them out sounds intriguing.
