Re: 144 single mode riser - corning

yes Laz, must be Corning -
its a typical part for me just no current stock any where - i do buy it from AFL normally and right now have 3,000 feet of it in my warehouse.....but because its AFL not Corning, I cant take it -

its a Verizon thing - they spec'd in Corning and now its all they'll take - even though I terminate the ends LOL

wish they'd accept a magic marker and i'd be in business!

This may sound stupid but have you tried Verizon Logistics?

The item is showing up out of stock on Embarq Logistics's web site as such considering their stocking levels my guess is it's a Corning issue but I do not have access to Verizon's site to see if it also OOS there.

If it is it would seem to me since Verizon cannot supply what they require they should allow you to substitute another product.

That I have never heard of - I am an OEM and havent ever even considered checking Verizon's stock - great idea though!

I did find some of this in a warehouse at a company i used to work for - at an amazingly cheap price!

so thank you all for your help!!! i litterally lost sleep over this order and spent a lot of time stressing - I appreciate the ideas

Good deal.

I never did business with Verizon but all North Supply/Embarq Logistics wanted to open an account was a credit app and tax number. Their prices are not the greatest but they have a lot in stock and if they are out of something most everyone else will be as well.
